Let me tell you a quick story.
After 3 years of heavy-duty wear and tear, my vacuum stopped working. Of course, my kids saw that as the day to cause even more chaos than usual.
I go out and buy a brand-new vacuum – only for it to stop working a month later.
To avoid spending money on yet another vacuum, I decided to troubleshoot the problem myself.
After spending 20 minutes carefully taking the vacuum apart, I found the problem. A tiny little piece was clogged.
I easily cleaned it out, put the vacuum back together, and tested it. The result? It worked like new!
The problem just needed a little cleanup to keep smoothly working.
The same goes for your website!
A lot of times, when a website has a problem, business owners go out and invest in a whole new website (which usually costs thousands of dollars by the way) thinking that’s their easy fix.
But here’s the thing: A WordPress website can actually last a very long time with simple routine care and maintenance.

Hey,
You know that over-the-moon feeling when a new lead comes in from your website and you get the email confirmation of a booked call?
I had that feeling when a lead scheduled a meeting with me – only to suddenly cancel.
Somehow, I felt like it was my fault and that I did something wrong.
So I reached out and sent her a short Loom video and let her know that even if I wasn't a good fit for her, I'd love to still support her. I even invited her to my Facebook group!
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting more than a simple "Thanks!" But, I felt this could give me some peace of mind.
Surprisingly, she more than thanked me! She explained that she canceled because she wanted to wait until she could afford to work with me.
"I’d rather wait and have a much bigger budget to get to the website I truly want than skimp on it now. If you’re patient with me, I'll be back! With all your unsolicited glowing comments in the BL group, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Hopefully when I'm ready, we are a good fit.."
There’s a saying: “The money (and peace of mind!) is in the follow-up!”
Never hesitate to follow up, even in those awkward moments when someone cancels a call – it never hurts to reach out to them!

If you didn’t already know, I’m a mom of 3.
My oldest is almost 5 and is non-verbal/on the Autism spectrum. We practice ASL so he can communicate.
It’s been tough. Especially when his younger brother can communicate clearly and, for a long time, I felt my efforts weren’t getting anywhere.
But I refused to give up and maintained consistency every day.
One of my son’s favorite movies is Finding Nemo. When he started saying fish over and over again (one of his first words) – it made me so happy. 🥰
If it hadn’t been for our everyday practice, he may not have made this amazing progress. My long-term efforts were worth it!
The same lesson applies to your marketing.
You must have consistency, especially when it comes to email marketing. (You can check out my presentation on email marketing here.)
Remember that making connections and building an email list of potential clients takes time. You can’t expect to add an email sign up form on your website and have a dozen people suddenly wanting to hire you.
Attracting clients takes time. And sometimes you might feel you aren’t getting anywhere. It’ll feel tough!
But, you will attract clients.
And when you do, you’ll see that every action you took was a step in the right direction that got you there.
You have to “just keep swimming.”

Last week we talked about two problems new business owners struggle with: no clients or no money! I gave you a few solutions on fixing that.
This week we’re going to touch on “No Cash.”
I financed my first business on credit cards for 2 years. Smart? Nope!
If I had been smart then I wouldn’t have ended up in $110k worth of debt. (Yikes, I know.) But I was naive and didn’t invest in a wise mentor.
I spent a ton of money on crap I didn’t need. Here’s my advice based on my cringe-worthy mistakes: if you need to use credit cards to finance your biz, do it smart!
Get a zero-interest card and spend money only on what you absolutely need. Everything you earn goes back onto that card before interest kicks in. (This is FREE money!)
Avoid my newbie mistakes. Trust me, you’ll get to success faster with more smiles.

Have a grid that entertains, engages, and educates your audience.
These are your basic beginner tips for scoring clients on Instagram. But, even just these gems can make a huge difference between a viewer skipping over you or deciding to DM you for info on your biz!
